JICC guidebook

It can attack humans as a Wlith, but it can also turn into a treasure chest or rock and ambush them. It's pretty common. It's a monster of a pretty nasty nature. However, it's a pretty weak monster except for its nasty nature.
レイスとして人間を襲うこともあるが、宝箱や岩などに化けて待ち伏せすることも結構多い。かなり意地の悪いタイプのモンスターだ。もっとも意地が悪い以外はかなり弱めのモンスターではある。

Origin of the name / 名前の由来

This name comes directly from the European folklore of wraiths, which are living spirits and ghosts.
名前の由来はヨーロッパで伝承として伝わっている生霊・幽体であるレイスそのまま。
