Kadokawa guidebook
It is a wizard who passes on the magic of the Mayan Aztecs of southern Mexico, It wears a large ten-gallon hat and poncho. It mainly uses black magic and attacks intruders with agility.
 メキシコ南部のマヤ、アステカの呪術を伝える魔法使いで、大きなテンガロンハットとポンチョを身にまとっている。おもに黒魔術を使い、機敏な行動で侵入者を襲う。
JICC guidebook
It's a creepy wizard with eyes that glow behind his hood. The type that bounces around can be especially formidable to players with short range.
 頭巾の奥に光る目が不気味な魔法使いだ。特にぴょんぴょん跳ねてくるタイプは、飛距離の短いキャラには手ごわく感じられる。

The name comes directly from the wizard.
 名前の由来は魔法使いのウィザードそのまま。

It is a mysterious character with only his eerily glowing eyes peeping out from behind a deep hat. In fact, it is a wizard who uses black magic. It can pass through rocks and walls at will.
 ふかぶかとかぶったボウシの奥から、ブキミに光る目だけがのぞくナゾのキャラ。実は黒魔術などを使う魔法使いなのだ。岩や壁などを自由に通りぬけるぞ。

Note

His visual style is based on "Toshiro Oyama" a.k.a. "Tochiro" from "Space Pirate Captain Harlock" and Conductor of "Galaxy Express 999".
 見た目の元ネタは「宇宙海賊キャプテンハーロック」の「トチロー」こと「大山　敏郎」と、「銀河鉄道999」の車掌。
