It is a species of pufferfish that inhabits the eastern East China Sea, and was formed in ancient times by a cross between a flying fish and a pufferfish. It belongs to amphibians and can breathe both underwater and in the air. It swims freely in the air and has a very calm nature.
東シナ海東部に生息するフグの一種で、古代にとび魚とふぐがかけ合ってできた種族。両生類に属し、水中でも空中でも呼吸できる。空中を自在に泳ぎ、いたって穏やかな性格。

Origin of the name / 名前の由来

Only the first ‘p’ was given in respect of the flying puffer ‘Pukupuku (Cheep-Cheep)’ from Super Mario Bros. and the rest was created.
スーパーマリオブラザーズの空飛ぶフグ「プクプク」に敬意を表し最初の「プ」だけもらい、あとは創作。
