It is a plant monster that grows wild in the forest area in the center of Yakushima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. It is a gigantic Jindai-sugi tree with a spirit lodged in its stump, which is usually found underground. It is lurking, but occasionally appears.
 鹿児島県屋久島中央部の森林地帯に自生する植物怪物。巨大な神代杉の切りかぶに、木の精霊が宿ったもので、ふだんは地中に潜んでいるが、ときおりニョッキリ姿を現す。
