Kadokawa guidebook

It is a giant toxic freshwater jellyfish from South America and the middle Amazon River, colorless and transparent. Its skin is so faintly luminous that its outline is barely visible. It can swim freely in the air as well as in the water.
南米、アマゾン川中流域に生息する巨大な淡水の毒クラゲで、無色透明。皮膚がかすかに発光するので、かろうじて輪郭が見える。水中同様に空中も自在に泳ぎまわれる。

JICC guidebook

It hops around on the ground with its translucent body. It's a bit tricky when it comes down from above.
半透明の体でピョンピョンと地上を飛び回る。上から降ってこられるとちょっと厄介だ。

The name comes from jellyfish(クラゲ / kurage) and kraken.
