Origin of the name / 名前の由来

This name comes by transformation from "Daruma", a toy and good-luck charm made by the great Indian master Bodhidharma, the founder of the Chinese Zen sect, in the shape of a seated Zen monk.
名前の由来は中国禅宗の始祖のインド人・菩提達磨大師が座禅した姿に作ったおもちゃ・縁起物「だるま」を変形させたもの。
