It is a primitive bird native to the South Pacific and Tasmania, the African ostrich and the Australian This is the same species as the emu. It runs around quite fast on its well-developed legs, but has low intelligence.
 南太平洋、タスマニア島原産の原始鳥類で、アフリカのダチョウやオーストラリアのエミューと同じ種族。発達した足でかなり早いスピードで走り回るが、知能が低い。
JICC guidebook
It is a bird with well-developed legs and very quick feet, while its feathers have degenerated because it lived in underground caves.
 地下の洞窟で暮らしていたため羽が退化している反面、足が発達した鳥で、非常に素早い。
